Willy Michel – Disetronic Group

WILLY MICHEL is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Disetronic Group, one of Switzerland's fastest growing companies. Prior to co- founding Disetronic in 1984 he was General Manager of Novo-Nordisk Switzerland. Before joining Novo-Nordisk in 1978 as director of the sales force, Willy Michel held various positions in sales and marketing with Leo-Lundbeck, the Danish pharmaceutical company. He began his professional career with an apprenticeship as a laboratory assistant at Ciba-Geigy. Willy Michel is a member of the managing committee of Microswiss, a government sponsored association for the advancement of applied microelectronics research, and of the Burgdorf Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the town council of hometown Burgdorf and serves on the board of trustees of the Swiss Centre for Folklore and Folk Art, Burgdorf.
