WILLY MICHEL is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Disetronic
Group, one of Switzerland's fastest growing companies. Prior to co-
founding Disetronic in 1984 he was General Manager of Novo-Nordisk
Switzerland. Before joining Novo-Nordisk in 1978 as director of the
sales force, Willy Michel held various positions in sales and marketing
with Leo-Lundbeck, the Danish pharmaceutical company. He began his
professional career with an apprenticeship as a laboratory assistant at
Ciba-Geigy. Willy Michel is a member of the managing committee of
Microswiss, a government sponsored association for the advancement of
applied microelectronics research, and of the Burgdorf Chamber of
Commerce. He is also a member of the town council of hometown Burgdorf
and serves on the board of trustees of the Swiss Centre for Folklore and
Folk Art, Burgdorf. Willy Michel includes sailing, skiing, and
