William Soward is Vice President of Business Development at Edify. In
this role he initiates and manages Edify's strategic technology
alliances worldwide and drives corporate strategy for acquisition and
investment opportunities. Mr. Soward has developed strong financial
markets for Edify. The company looks to him to provide guidance, growth
and management of the relationships that will be most crucial.
Previously Mr. Soward was Vice President of Product Marketing for Edify
Corporation, with responsibility for Edify's Call Center, Financial
Services, and Human Resource market initiatives. Previously, Mr. Soward
had marketing responsibilities for the Edify Electronic Banking System,
an application product suite targeting the online financial services
marketplace. Mr. Soward joined Edify in early 1995. Prior to joining
Edify, he spent nine years in the telecommunications industry with
Siemens-Rolm and IBM. During this time, Mr. Soward held various product
management positions in the voice processing, multimedia and call center
business segments. In his last assignment, he was Senior Product Manager
for Call Center Applications with responsibility for Siemens-Rolm's ACD,
computer telephony, voice response and system integration offerings.
Previously, Mr. Soward was Chief Financial Officer of a residential
construction company. He also spent four years as a commercial lender
for Union Bank, a major West Coast financial institution. Mr. Soward
holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of
