William Richmond – Greene County Bancshares Inc (gcbs)

WILLIAM F. RICHMOND joined Greene County Bancshares, Inc., in February 1996 and currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Richmond served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a publicly traded thrift from June 1991 through October 1995 and as Controller from April 1985 through May 1991. He has been active in community activities in the Tri- Cities, Tennessee, area, having served on the Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Club, Inc., and as President of the Tri-Cities Estate Planning Council. He has served in various capacities with the United Way of Greater Kingsport, is a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, and is a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Greeneville, Tennessee. He holds a BS in Commerce with distinction from the University of Virginia and also an MBA from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and Tennessee and is also a Certified Financial Planner. Profile
