WILLIAM A. LONG is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of
Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust. Prior to joining Yadkin He was President,
Director and CEO of Main Street Bankshares, Inc. as well as President,
CEO and Director of Piedmont National Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Long
is the former Chief Executive Officer of R.B. Johnston & Sons, Inc. and
was Area Vice President and City Executive of First Union National Bank.
Mr. Long is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee
of the North Carolina Bankers Association and also serves as a Board
member of the North Carolina Citizens for Business and Industry. He
graduated from East Carolina University and the LSU School of Banking of

EDWIN E. LAWS is Chief Financial Officer of Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust
Company. Prior to joining Yadkin he was Chief Financial Officer of
Piedmont Bank and Main Street Bankshares; Staff Accountant, Barnard,
Combs, Potts & Rhyne, CPAs. He worked for Southern Bell, BellSouth
Telecommunications as Assistant Manager, Accounting; Associate Manager,
independent telephone company review, Associate Manager, Internal
Auditing. Mr. Laws is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified
Internal Auditor. He has a BS in Math and Business from Wake Forest
University. In 1987 he completed required accounting courses for CPA
exam from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is in the
process of completing the MBA program at Pfeiffer University. Profile
