William E. Hunt – Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (swph.to)

WILLIAM E. HUNT graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1964 with a BSA. Mr. Hunt began his career with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a manager trainee in 1966. Mr. Hunt has served in various management positions in the Pool's farm supply business. In 1985, he became the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer until 1987. With a reorganization in the country operations in 1987, Mr. Hunt was hired for the Director of Marketing in the Country Services Division. In 1990, Mr. Hunt assumed the position of General Manager of the Terminal Elevator Division in Winnipeg. In March 1994, he assumed the position of Executive Vice President of the Food & Industrial Group in Regina. In July 1999, he accepted the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Hunt has held several positions in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists: Executive of Regina Branch, SIA Council and President of SIA. Mr. Hunt is currently a director/member on a number of different boards. They are as follows: CanAmera Foods, Prairies Malt Ltd., Can-Oat Milling, Fletcher's Fine Foods, Europort Inc., Poland, Matrix Trading Company Limited, Western Cooperative Fertilizers Limited, XCAN Grain Pool Ltd., Pacific Basin Economic Council, and the Regina Regional Economic Development Authority.
