WALTER H. MOOS has been Chairman and CEO of MitoKor since 1997. From
1991 to 1997, he was employed at Chiron, where he was Corporate Vice
President and Vice President of R&D in the Technologies Division. From
1982 to 1991, Dr. Moos worked at Warner-Lambert's Parke-Davis
Pharmaceutical Research Division, starting as a Research Scientist and
last holding the position of Vice President, Neuroscience and Biological
Chemistry. He originally trained in Chemistry at Harvard and Berkeley,
receiving his PhD in 1982. Dr. Moos and his groups have discovered and
participated in the development of multiple drugs and biologics, several
of which have reached the marketplace. Further, he was a key player in
developing the field of combinatorial chemistry. Dr. Moos has also
served on the Boards of CMPS, Onyx, and Rigel, and has been active in
various industry groups, including the American Chemical Society and the
Biotechnology Industry Organization. He has edited several books, helped
to found multiple journals, and has published over 100 manuscripts and
patents. In addition, Dr. Moos has held adjunct faculty positions at the
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and the University of California, San
