Vickee Adams – Dow Jones & Company (dj)

VICKEE J. ADAMS is Director of Corporate Communications for Dow Jones & Company. She has responsibility for media relations for The Wall Street Journal, its Special Reports and international and online editions, and other Dow Jones operations. As a spokesperson for Dow Jones, she works directly with senior management and is also involved in investment conferences, business announcements, employee communications and issues management. Prior to joining Dow Jones in March 1999, Ms. Adams was Senior Vice President and Director of the communications training center at Ketchum Public Relations in New York, focusing on media training, presentation skills, executive coaching and crisis media management. She oversaw an international team of communications training specialists and served as a global regional associate and a member of the company's management committee. From 1983 to 1992, Ms. Adams worked for Burson- Marsteller in New York. She was named Vice President and Manager of Communications training for the firm in 1989. Ms. Adams serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Women Executives in Public Relations Foundation, as a Trustee of the WNYC Radio Foundation and as a Trustee of the Board of Advisors of the Wildlife Conservation Society. In 1992, she received Inside PR's Rising Star award and the Harlem Young Men's Christian Association's Black Achiever Award. She was honored with a BUDDY Award from the National Organization for Women's Legal Defense and Education Fund in 1987. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Ms. Adams received a Bachelor's degree in English. Profile
