TODD E. SIMPSON joined Targeted Genetics Corporation in October 2001 as
Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Targeted Genetics, he was Vice President, Finance and
Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Aastrom Biosciences, Inc.,
a publicly held life science company focused on the development of cell-
based therapeutics. He was Chief Financial Officer of Telios
Pharmaceuticals before joining Aastrom. At Aastrom, he was a managing
director of its Berlin-based subsidiary Zellera, AG, and was one of the
founding directors for the Center for Cell Therapy, established with the
Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University, to develop novel
cell-based therapies to treat cancer and other diseases. Mr. Simpson has
nearly 20 years of life sciences and public accounting experience and is
a Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelor of Science
degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Oregon State University
