Timothy Shea – Surgilight Inc (srgl)

TIMOTHY J. SHEA is an internationally recognized and respected electro- optic professional that was appointed to the Board of Directors of SurgiLight, Inc., Orlando, Florida in August of 1999 then accepted the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary of the Board in January, 2000. In 1999 he was appointed to the Board of Directors and served as President of the Medical and Research & Development divisions of Laser Analytics, Inc. In 1998 he was the Corporate Director of Business Development at Schwartz Electro-Optics, Inc. From 1993 to 1995 he was Director of Clinical Design and Development at SurgiLase, Inc. From 1989 to 1993 he was the Director of Clinical Design and Development and a member of the senior staff at Laser Photonics, Inc. From 1986 to 1989 he was the Manager/Director Clinical Design and Research and a member of the senior management committee at SurgiLase, Inc., Warwick. He was responsible for the clinical design and development of all products which included the highest power sealed, DC excited, C02 laser and the highest power Nd:YAG laser with the most stable energy through the widest dynamic range in the medical industry and all related laser accessories. From 1983 to 1986 he was a Senior Director and Principal Partner of Inframed, Inc. His responsibilities included product design and development of the highest power RF excited, free space C02 laser in the world and the first internally cooled, high power Nd:YAG laser. He was also responsible for worldwide clinical and technical support for medical products manufactured by Cilas Alcatel, Paris, France and Laser Applications LTD, Hull, England. During this time he was also extensively involved with clinical research of all commercially available wavelengths at the Lahey Clinic and assisted in the development of the Elanor Dana Laser Research facility at the clinic. In 1984 he became an "Honorary Staff" member at the Lahey Clinic. From 1981 to 1983 he was a Clinical Design Engineer at Advanced Biomedical Instruments, Inc. His primary responsibilities included worldwide clinical and technical support for all medical products manufactured by Cilas Alcatel, Paris, France, and BioPhysic Medical, Clermont Ferrand, France, and all biomedical instruments distributed by Advanced Biomedical Instruments, Inc.
