TIMOTHY HARRIS, PhD, is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Structural GenomiX. From 1993 to 1999, Dr. Harris was Senior Vice
President of Research and Development for Sequana Therapeutics, Inc.,
which became Axys Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 1998. At Sequana/Axys, he
expanded the research group from 10 to over 200 people and secured four
corporate deals. From 1989 to 1993, he was Director of Biotechnology at
Glaxo Group Research in the United Kingdom, where he held responsibility
for global high throughput screening. From 1981 until 1989, Dr. Harris
was a Senior Molecular Biologist at Celltech Ltd., a biotechnology
company in the UK, cloning various genes coding for therapeutic
proteins. Dr. Harris received a PhD and MS in General Virology and a BSc
in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham in England. Profile
