Tim Bowdler – Johnston Press Plc (jht.l)

TIM BOWDLER is the Chief Executive of Johnston Press Plc. An engineering graduate of Birmingham University with an MBA from London Business School, he spent the early part of his career in the manufacturing sector before moving into publishing at the beginning of 1994. After training as a Production Engineer, he progressed through a series of managerial appointments in commercial and marketing roles leading to general management. Prior to entering the newspaper industry, worked for Cape Plc as Divisional Managing Director of their building and architectural product companies. He joined Johnston Press Plc in January 1994 as Group Managing Director Designate, taking up the role in April of that year. He was appointed Chief Executive in September 1997.
