Thomas Tiller – Polaris Industries (pii)

THOMAS TILLER became the President and Chief Operating Officer of Polaris Industries Inc., in July, 1998. On May 20, 1999 he became CEO. Prior to joining Polaris, Mr. Tiller worked at General Electric for 15 years where he began his career as an engineer in 1983. After holding a number of marketing and management positions, he was promoted to vice president and general manager of GE Silicones, a $1 billion, 3,000- employee unit doing business in more than 40 countries. Mr. Tiller received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Vermont. In 1991, Mr. Tiller earned his master's of business administration from Harvard Business School. Mr. Tiller is married and has three sons. Mr. Tiller is a snowmobile and personal watercraft enthusiast, and also enjoys golf, swimming, soccer, woodworking and spending time with his family. Profile
