THOMAS J. FITZMYERS has been the Chief Executive Officer of Simpson
Manufacturing since 1994. He started with Simpson in 1979 in the
acquisitions area and became President in 1981. Prior to joining
Simpson, he was a Regional Vice President of Union Bank in Northern
California. Mr. Fitzmyers received a BA in Economics from California
