Effective September 3, 1998, THOMAS BARKER was promoted to the position
of President and Chief Executive Officer of West TeleServices
Corporation. Mr. Barker has been the President and Chief Operating
Officer for all of the West Companies since March, 1995. Prior to March,
1995, Mr. Barker was Executive Vice President of West Interactive for
almost four years. In that role, he had complete profit and loss
responsibility for West Interactive Corporation. Mr. Barker came to West
from Cue Network Corporation where he was President and Chief Operating
Officer. Before joining Cue, Mr. Barker was a Vice President and
Division Manager of the Gallup Organization. He has also held numerous
sales and marketing positions of Savin and the IBM Corporation. Mr.
Barker graduated from the University of Dayton in 1976 with a double
major in Accounting and Management. Mr. Barker is married and has two
