SUSUMU HIRANO – KAWASAKI MICROELECTRONICS INC

SUSUMU HIRANO is President and Chief Executive Officer of Kawasaki Microelectronics, Inc. Mr. Hirano has held ever-increasing positions of responsibility since joining Kawasaki Steel Corporation in 1965, primarily in corporate planning, accounting, and human resources. He was appointed General Manager of Kawasaki Steel's semiconductor division in 1996, and became CEO of Kawasaki Microelectronics when the semiconductor division was spun out as Kawasaki Microelectronics in 2001. He has extensive international business experience, including living in Brazil as part of the senior management team for a multinational joint-venture steel manufacturing facility.
