SURYA R. PANDITI is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Avici
Systems Inc. Mr. Panditi joined Avici as its Senior Officer in 1997.
Prior to Avici, he served as Vice President and General Manager at US
Robotics. His earlier experience includes Intel Corporation, Ungermann-
Bass, where he held several marketing, product and general management
positions, and Telco Systems. Mr. Panditi has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA
