STEVEN PARKINSON is President & CEO of TranXenoGen. He was appointed to
the Board in August 1998. He has 16 years' experience in the
biotechnology industry, nine of these in transgenic companies, including
business development roles in PPL Therapeutics and Genzyme Transgenics
Corporation, and as President of Advanced Cell Technology. He has
secured multiple partnership contracts with major pharmaceutical and
biotechnology companies for the development of transgenic animals. He
has also served as a spokesman for transgenic technology in the
industry, making numerous public presentations, and organized the first
international transgenic conference with IBC. He has experience in
business development, sales and marketing, administrative management,
operations and manufacturing. He also has experience raising equity
financing and in the management of start-up and early stage
