STEPHEN R. DAVIS is Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer of
Neurogen Corporation. Since joining the company in 1994, Mr. Davis has
guided Neurogen in raising more than $100 million in equity financings.
He has also played a central role in consummating numerous
collaborations providing for pre-marketing payments to Neurogen of up to
$200 million plus royalties, profit-sharing and co-marketing rights. As
Neurogen's Chief Business Officer, Mr. Davis oversees Neurogen's
business development, legal and finance efforts. Prior to joining
Neurogen, Mr. Davis practiced as both a Certified Public Accountant and
as an attorney. He began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co., where he
focused on auditing and advising clients in regulated industries. Mr.
Davis then practiced as a corporate and securities attorney with the
Wall Street firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy. There he focused
on transactions to raise capital in public and private markets for
established companies as well as many non-traditional projects and the
formation of numerous joint ventures and other alliances. Mr. Davis
holds an Undergraduate degree from Southern Nazarene University and a
Law degree from Vanderbilt University. Profile
