JOHN HERVEY is the Director of Research at SoundView Technology Group,
Inc., and is based in Connecticut. Prior to joining SoundView, he was
Director of US Research at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he worked
for two years following CSFB's acquisition of Donaldson, Lufkin and
Jenrette. At DLJ, he was most recently Associate Director of Research in
the New York office and had previously been a Research Analyst in London
and New York for 13 years, covering the energy industry. He was
recognized by Institutional Investor magazine's All American research
team from 1993 until he relocated to London in 1998. He received a BA in
