ERIC J. GREEN, CFA, is Senior Portfolio Manager/Director of Research/Principal at PENN Capital Management. He began his career at the firm in 1997. Mr. Green has gained experience with a number of well- known entities, such as the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as a financial analyst in the Division of Investment Management. As portfolio manager, Mr. Green is directly responsible for buy/sell decisions, portfolio construction and monitoring existing credit positions in the non-core and equity portfolios. TWST: What has gone on with small caps year to date and where do we go

from here?

Mr. Green: The small cap market has been relatively flat year to date,

but has been rather volatile. For the
