Scott Folk – Timberwest Forest Corporation (twf.un)

SCOTT A. FOLK is President and Chief Executive Officer of TimberWest Forest Corporation. TimberWest operates one of Canada's largest companies in the solid wood segment of the forest industry and is the largest private timberland owner in Western Canada. Mr. Folk has worked in the forest industry in both Canada and the United States for over 20 years. Before joining TimberWest in 1999, he was President of James River timber Corp., a $400 million US solid wood and timberland company which he guided through an active phase of mergers, acquisitions, and subsequent divestitures. He was also responsible for wood procurement for parent company James River Corp. in his position as Vice President, Wood Resources. His expertise in the timber business and wood procurement is supported by his status as a Registered Professional Forester. He holds an Honours Degree in Forest Management from Lakehead University and a Forest Technology Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
