SAMUEL B. HAY III is President and Chief Executive Officer of Main
Street Banks, Inc. He is responsible for leading the bank's overall
strategy and operations, as well as managing the company's investor
relations and mergers and acquisitions efforts. Mr. Hay served as
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Bank of Covington in
Covington, Georgia, until its holding company, Main Street Banks, Inc.,
consolidated its three banks in 1996. He then continued to serve as
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the consolidated Main Street
Bank and served as Chief Financial Officer of the holding company. Mr.
Hay began his banking career with Citizens and Southern Corporation in
1986. He received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Davidson College
and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
