SAMER SALAMEH serves as Chairman and CEO of Prodigy Communications
Corporation. Mr. Salameh also serves as Advisor to the CEO of Telmex.
Previously, Mr. Salameh served as General Manager and Vice President of
long distance division for Telmex, the leading provider of local and
long-distance telephone services in Mexico. Mr. Salameh was responsible
for marketing, strategy, positioning, product management and product
development for this $4 billion business. He successfully maintained
market share during the opening of the Mexican market to competition.
Additionally, Mr. Salameh served as a Director of SBC Communications,
long distance marketing. Previously, Mr. Salameh was employed by MCI
Telecommunications as a Product Manager launching World Phone, the
global calling card feature. Mr. Salameh also served as Vice President
of Finance for Merl Industries, a management consulting firm in
Washington, D.C. Mr. Salameh holds a Masters degree from the Tufts
University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He earned a B.S. degree
in Management and Technology Transfer from Polytechnic University of New
York. Mr. Salameh also received his Baccalaureate degree in Math and
