ROY SMITH is the Group Chief Executive of Advanced Medical Solutions.
Prior to joining the company, he was General Manager at Johnson and
Johnson Professional Ltd. Thames Valley. Mr. Smith's decision to leave
J&J was primarily around the attractiveness of contributing to the
development of an emerging U.K. Health Care Company and, recognising
that AMS is quoted on the U.K. stock market, the added experience of
dealing with institutional fund holders and understanding the
disciplines of Corporate governance. He was educated at Bradford
University where he received a B.Sc. 2:1 (Hons), Industrial Technology
and Management in 1981. Mr. Smith's personal interests include: soccer,
squash, skiing, property restoration, cars and light opera. Profile
