SPENCER GRIMES is a Vice President and Equity Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney where he follows cable television operators and multichannel programming companies. Previously, Mr. Grimes was associated with Viacom's MTV Networks in a variety of affiliate sales, marketing and advertising roles. He also gained international experience working with Asian broadcasters and cable networks in program syndication sales. Mr. Spencer received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and his M.B.A. from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University in Atlanta. PHILIP J. SIRLIN is a Vice President of Equity Research at Schroder & Co., Inc. Previously, he was associated with Strategic System Group, Inc. as a Vice President and with Sanford Bernstein & Company as a Telecommunications Analyst. He received his Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, an M.A. in economics from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University. Mr. Sirlin is married, has one child, and is involved with New Castle Community Television, a public access television station, as President. KARIM ZIA is a Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He received his Bachelor's degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Media and Entertainment Analysts Society of New York. TWST: Phil, would you define the cable industry as we know it today, as

well as its sources of revenue?

Mr. Sirlin: The cable industry as we know it today, with respect to

current sources of
