DR. ROBERT W. SWEET is Chief Economist and Managing Director at Allied
Investment Advisors. His responsibilities include managing many of the
organization's largest tax-exempt portfolios, including pension, profit
sharing plans, foundations and endowments. Dr. Sweet has over 28 years
experience managing equity and fixed income accounts, as well as
establishing investment policy. The author of The Quarterly Economic
Report, AIA's quarterly newsletter, Dr. Sweet speaks frequently for
organizations across the country, most recently presenting "The Economy
and the Stock Market in the New Millennium" to the Pennsylvania Bankers
Association. He earned his AB degree from Trinity College, JD degree
from Catholic University, and his MBA from Loyola College in Maryland. A
