Robert Ryan – Mechanical Dynamics Inc (mdii)

DR. ROBERT R. RYAN accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer of worldwide operations for Mechanical Dynamics, Inc. in 1991, and was appointed President in 1997. Dr. Ryan began his career in software sales at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation in Cincinnati, OH in 1976. After helping SDRC form an aerospace business unit in San Diego, CA, he worked as an independent consultant for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratories, Applied Information Memories, Failure Analysis Associates, General Motors Corporation, and Chrysler Corporation, before joining the faculty of the University of Michigan in 1986. He came to Mechanical Dynamics in 1988. Dr. Ryan received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Business from the University of Cincinnati, and holds an MS and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Profile
