ROBERT P. HICKEY has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of
Life Medical Sciences, Inc., since May 1996, Chief Financial Officer
since March 2000 and as a Director since August 1996. From May 1994
until joining the company, Mr. Hickey was Founder and President of
Roberts Healthcare Resources, Inc., a company engaged in project
consulting to Fortune 500 and early stage companies in the healthcare
industry. From 1975 to 1994, Mr. Hickey served in various positions at
Johnson & Johnson; his most recent position was Vice President,
Marketing and Director of the Ethicon, Inc., subsidiary of Johnson &
Johnson. Mr. Hickey is a member of the Board of Trustees of the
Biotechnology Council of New Jersey. He holds an MBA from Syracuse
University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
