ROBERT MONTGOMERY JR. is President & CEO of Headhunter.net and has more
than 20 years of experience in strategic sales and marketing, business
development and business-to-business operations with high-growth
companies. His track record testifies to the success of his
entrepreneurial management style that stresses company and employee
growth, as well as participation in communities where employees reside.
Mr. Montgomery joined Headhunter.net as President & CEO in 1999. Under
his direction, Headhunter.net became a public company in August 1999 and
has expanded its sales channels by opening offices in major metropolitan
areas throughout the US, building strategic alliances, and advertising
to build brand-name recognition. In addition to providing business
leadership, Mr. Montgomery has initiated outreach efforts to charitable
organizations that affect communities in which Headhunter.net has
offices. Prior to joining Headhunter.net, Mr. Montgomery founded
InterCall, the phone meeting leader that has distinguished itself by
offering complimentary management effectiveness training and education
to its clients. In seven years, he grew InterCall into a $70 million,
500+ employee, internationally operated company, with offices in the
United Kingdom and in 18 US cities. As President and CEO, Mr. Montgomery
supervised the company's growth, overseeing operations, new business
opportunities, and office expansion. In addition, he founded the
Westpoint 2100 Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money
to refurbish the downtown business section of Westpoint, GA, the home of
Intercall's operations center. Previously, Mr. Montgomery was employed
with Lanier Business Products for five years, rising from Sales
Representative to District Manager and exceeding sales goals in every
position he held. He then served as Account Manager at Sperry
Corporation, followed by a six-year career at Async/Telecom USA/MCI,
where he served as General Manager, Vice President of Sales in the Voice
Mail Service Bureau, and then President of the Conference Calling
Division. Mr. Montgomery is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a
BA in Economics. He has held several directorships and is an active
