ROBERT G. MACDONALD, President and CEO, founded Afton Food Group Ltd. in
1993. He has over 15 years experience in the franchising, real estate
and food industries. Afton was founded as a franchisor and consolidator
in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Goals included
identifying strategic acquisitions in the QSR sector, growing the
company to 500 corporate and franchised outlets by the year 2000,
achieving a top ten ranking in the QSR field in Canada by that year, and
obtaining a TSE listing. Customers include Canadians coast to coast, as
well as certain markets in the US and Saudi Arabia. Afton, with its more
than 500 corporate and franchised outlets operating under the brand
names, Robin's Donuts', 241 Pizza', Mrs. Powell's Bakery Eatery', Donut
Delite Caf and Ruffage' generates more than 200 million dollars in
system sales on an annualized basis, making it one of the top 10
