ROBERT L. BAILEY is Chairman of the State Auto Insurance Companies
(State Auto Financial Corporation; State Auto Property and Casualty;
State Auto National; State Automobile Mutual; Milbank; Midwest Security;
Farmers Casualty; Mid Plains and several other subsidiary companies).
Mr. Bailey is a graduate of Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg,
Kansas. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
and Associate in Risk Management designations. Mr. Bailey is a member of
a number of industry and community boards, including the: National
Association of Independent Insurers (NAII), Immediate Past Chairman and
a member of the Executive Committee, an association of some 600 property
and casualty insurance companies; Franklin University, Immediate Past
Chairman; Alliance for Productive Technology (APT), Past Chairman, Board
and Executive Committee member, an organization dedicated to bringing
about single entry, multi-company interface for independent agents and
companies operating through the independent agency system; American
Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters the Insurance
Institute of America; and the Insurance Institute for Applied Ethics. Profile
