ROBERT P. GANNON is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer of Touch America Holdings, Inc. He was Chairman, CEO and
President of The Montana Power Company. Under his direction, Montana
Power Company was transformed from a vertically integrated electric and
natural gas utility, with competitive businesses in energy and
technology, into a national broadband fiber-optic network and product
and services telecommunications company. Before joining Montana Power
Company in 1974 as an Attorney, he served as an Assistant Attorney
General for the State of Montana for two years and as an Assistant US
Attorney for another two and one half years. He earned a Bachelor's
degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame and a Law degree
from the University of Montana Law School. Mr. Gannon also completed the
Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Profile
