Robert Foldes – Cytochroma Inc

ROBERT L. FOLDES is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytochroma Inc. Prior to joining Cytochroma in August 2000, Dr. Foldes was Director, Research Business Development at The Hospital for Sick Children (HSC). During his three years at HSC, he established its Intellectual Property and Commercial Development Office as a leader in technology transfer and academic-industry partnering. Prior to joining HSC, Dr. Foldes spent seven years with Allelix Biopharmaceuticals Inc., becoming Manager of Business Development, and helped to secure several strategic alliances with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Dr. Foldes received his BSc from the University of Toronto in 1982, PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1986 and MBA from York University in Toronto in 1994. Dr. Foldes has a successful track record in business and corporate development, equity financing, technology management and development and the establishment and management of successful commercialization partnerships. He has negotiated licensing deals with academia and both small and large companies, for a wide range of technologies including those relating to therapeutics, drug screening, methods of treatment and reagents. TWST: Can we begin with a brief historic sketch of Cytochroma and then

an overview of what the company is doing at the present time?

Dr. Foldes: Cytochroma is a privately held company. It was
