ROBERT G. BERGER, Chairman and CEO of CityNet Telecommunications, Inc.,
is recognized as a world-renowned expert in the competitive local
telecommunications marketplace, and a frequent speaker on issues related
to broadband, networking, the last mile and interconnection. With more
than 20 years' experience as a Telecommunications Attorney, he has
worked with WinStar Communications and the law firm of Swidler & Berlin,
focusing on the FCC and state regulatory matters, as well as federal and
state legislative matters, dealing with local telecommunications and
interconnection. As part of his community service, Mr. Berger serves as
Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission, the nation's seventh largest water and wastewater treatment
