RITA BROGAN – PRR

RITA BROGAN, CEO , is an expert at creating consensus between diverse groups with varied priorities. Rita's experience spans over 30 years of project management, research, public policy and affairs and communications. Rita has counseled citizen groups, public agencies and private businesses on issues pertaining to strategic planning, marketing, media relations, customer relations, annual priority setting and program management. Rita is currently the Director of Communications for the Seattle Monorail Project and is responsible for all communications and government relations work for this high profile project. She played a key role in facilitating public consensus for the I-405 Corridor Program and Washington State Stadium and Exhibition Center. Particularly, her expertise and knowledge are unparalleled in transportation and land use, stemming from her former work as superintendent of public transportation development at Seattle Metro and chief land use advisor to former King County Executive Randy Revelle where she chaired the Executive Task Force on Growth Management. Rita holds a Master of Arts degree in communication theory and methodology and a Bachelor of Arts in editorial journalism, both from the University of Washington. She served on the board of ITS Washington and the Mayor's Environmental Management Committee, the Marketing and Fare Policy Committee of the Transportation Research Board of the National Research Council and the Washington State Transportation Research Council.
