RICHARD A. ROSS is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Inmet
Mining Corporation and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Ross has
worked at Inmet and its predecessor corporations since 1989. He
initially held the position of Controller of the Corporation, and
subsequently was promoted to the position of Vice President, Finance and
Chief Financial Officer of Minnova, Vice President and Treasurer of
Inmet and Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Inmet.
Mr. Ross assumed the responsibility as Executive Vice President in May
1999 and was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer in
January 2000. Prior to Inmet, Mr. Ross worked for four years at Placer
Dome Inc., and prior to that for five years at Price Waterhouse during
which time he obtained his Chartered Accountants designation. Mr. Ross
is also on the Executive Committee of the Mining Association of Canada.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Mr.
Ross received a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. Profile

company. We have interests in three operating mines located in
