Richard Lister – Zemex Corporation (zmx)

RICHARD LLOYD LISTER is a Director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zemex Corporation, a diversified producer of industrial minerals and specialty products. Zemex currently operates facilities across the United States and Canada. Its products are used in a variety of commercial applications and are sold throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Mr. Lister was born in Toronto and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1961, a Master's of Science in 1962, and a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering in 1964. For the next 14 years he held several positions with N.L. Industries, the last of which was General Manager of the Titanium Pigments Division. In 1978, he joined Sun Chemical as General Manager of their Pigments Group. In 1981, Mr. Lister became President and Chief Executive Officer of Campbell Resources Inc. and was appointed as Chairman in 1988 and Honorary Chairman in 1992. In 1991, he joined Dundee Bancorp Inc. as Vice Chairman and a Director. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of Zemex Corporation in 1992, and in 1993 became the President and Chief Executive Officer.
