Raymond Warrel Jr. – Gental Incorporated (gnta)

DR. RAYMOND P. WARRELL, JR., is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Genta, Incorporated. Dr. Warrell is internationally known for his expertise in the clinical development of anticancer therapeutics. Prior to his appointment at Genta he was Associate Physician-in-Chief and tenured Member of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He was also Professor of Medicine at the Joan and Sanford Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He has been a consultant to a number of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, including Genta. He is a co-Founder of PolaRx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (which developed arsenic trioxide (Trisenox') for the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia) and also of Relgen LLC, a privately held pharmaceutical company. Dr. Warrell holds numerous patents for biomedical therapeutic and diagnostic agents. He has published more than 300 scientific papers, book chapters and abstracts, primarily related to treatment of cancer and bone disease.
