RANDALL SEIDL – PERMABIT INC

RANDALL P. SEIDL is Chief Executive Officer at Permabit. Mr. Seidl is responsible for the strategic direction and all day-to-day operations of the company. With 18 years of global experience in growing and scaling both start-up and Fortune 500 software, services, and hardware companies, Seidl is well positioned to lead Permabit as it introduces Permeon, the company's breakthrough content addressed storage software. Before Permabit, Seidl was Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sales and Services for GiantLoop, a pioneer in data center networking services. He built the corporate infrastructure and led the go-to-market strategy, growing the customer base to 75 enterprise customers in three years. As Chairman and CEO of Workgroup Solutions, an open systems integration company, Seidl changed the business model, led two buyouts, and grew revenue from $17m to $66m in three years. Seidl began his career at EMC Corporation in 1985, as the 33rd employee, and was instrumental in growing the company to become a worldwide enterprise storage leader. During his 11 years at EMC, he held 16 positions in Sales and Marketing, including VP of Open Systems Sales for North America. Seidl was vital to EMC's international expansion, leading early growth in the UK and then starting the Australasia operation. He also started the used equipment brokerage group that fuels worldwide sales today and successfully led several worldwide marketing groups and domestic sales regions. Seidl is a graduate of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, serves on BC's Board of Trustees, and is Chairman of the President's Circle. Seidl also serves on the Board of the Mass Mentoring Partnership, the Board of Governors for the BC Club, and is a member of the CEO Club of Boston and of YPO (Young Presidents' Organization).
