Ralph Christoffersen – Ribozyme Pharmaceuticals Inc (rzym)

DR. RALPH E. CHRISTOFFERSEN, PhD, joined RPI as its President and Chief Executive Officer in June 1992. He formerly served as Senior Vice President for Research at SmithKline Beecham, Vice President for Discovery Research at The Upjohn Company, President of Colorado State University, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Kansas. He is currently a member of the Genomica Corporation Board, the Colorado Biotechnology Association Board and the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) Board. He received an Honorary Doctor of Law degree from Cornell College in 1983, the Outstanding Research of the Year Award from the International Society of Quantum Biology in 1981, and W. E. Upjohn Award for contributions in biotechnology in 1988. Dr. Christoffersen received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Cornell College, and his PhD in Chemistry from Indiana University.
