Prakash Agarwal, as a co-founder, has been President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of NeoMagic since its inception in 1993. Mr. Agarwal has over 20 years of engineering, marketing and general management experience in the semiconductor industry including having served as Vice President and General Manager of Cirrus Logic's Portable Products Division. Mr. Agarwal holds Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Under his leadership, NeoMagic went public in March 1997, became one of the fastest growing semiconductor companies, and now leads the industry in providing multimedia accelerators to notebook PC makers with over 50% market share. NeoMagic sells to every major notebook PC manufacturer including: Compaq, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Mitsubishi, NEC, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba. In June 1998, Mr. Agarwal was awarded the 1998 Ernst & Young 'Entrepreneur of the Year Award' for excellence and extraordinary success in innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to his business and his community.
