Philip Dewhurst – Shandwick International (ipg.n)

PHILIP DEWHURST is Shandwick International's UK Chief Executive. Mr Dewhurst has worked in public relations for 25 years, in a career spanning public sector, industry, major consultancy and FTSE company appointments. From 1987 to 1995, he worked for two leading international consulting groups, starting as a director of GCI and becoming Chief Executive of the Saatchi & Saatchi PR subsidiary Rowland. His clients included blue chip names such as Procter & Gamble, ICI, Warner Lambert, Philip Morris and Pfizer, all of whom he advised internationally. He was recruited to become UK Chief Executive of Shandwick International in January 2000. Mr Dewhurst was elected a fellow of the Institute of Public Relations in 1989, becoming its president in 1999, and was voted PR Week's PR Professional of the year in 1998. Profile
