Peter Wolfraim – Mfp Financial Services Ltd (mfp.to)

Peter Wolfraim is Chairman and President of MFP Financial Services Ltd. Mr. Wolfraim earned his BA from Wilfred Laurier University (1973) and his MBA from McGill University (1975). His background includes time spent in international investment management with a Swiss bank, followed by several years based in New York in the fixed income area of a major Canadian investment dealer, followed by five years with a major US bank in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. From his window on the investment community, Mr. Wolfraim identified a huge opportunity: to employ financial management principles to the exploding high technology sector. As we've evolved into a services-based economy, the opportunity has been successfully realized. Moreover, the way he structured the company is that as the dynamics in the economy changed, the company can easily shift its product and asset mix to take advantage of the next emerging growth opportunity. Mr. Wolfraim is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Finance and Leasing Association. He is known for his ability to listen and build consensus. He is a principled, thoughtful leader. Along with overseeing the growth and direction of MFP over the past 16 years, Mr. Wolfman is a committed family man.
