Peter Schwenkow – Deutsche Entertainment Ag (ermg)

PETER L.H. SCHWENKOW is the President and founder of Deutsche Entertainment AG. Mr Schwenkow studied Advertising and Communication Sciences at the Berlin College of Arts. In 1978, he founded Concert Concept as a local concert-promoting agency. In the Autumn of 1993, he was appointed lecturer for the "Cultural Management" course of studies at the Hanns Eisler Conservatory. He received in November of 1993 - one year after the opening of the first variety theatre called Wintergarten. - the "Berliner Zeitung" culture prize for his Wintergarten engagement as a synthesis of the Arts. In 1995, he founded Deutsche Entertainment AG and was appointed Chairman of the Board of the parent holding company for the variety theatres 'Wintergarten' (Berlin), 'Friedrichbau' (Stuttgart), and since 1997 'Roncalli's Apollo Variete' (Dusseldorf). In May 1996, he was elected "Most Outstanding Businessman of the Year 1996" by the Association of Self-Employed Businessmen. Since 1996, he has become a Member of the General Assembly of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and that same year, founded coco Tours Veranstaltungs GmbH in Berlin a national concert promoting agency which promoted the German Rolling Stones Tour. In September 1998 Peter Schwenkow went public with his Deutsche Entertainment AG at the Neuer Markt in Frankfurt/Main. In the same year DEAG took over Balou Entertainment in Cologne and Special Security Service. In 1999 Mr. Schwenkow initiated his company take over of 50 % of Marshall Arts Ltd. London. In spring 2000 the company took over STELLA Entertainmnet - Germany's musical market leader and in summer the majority of the Swiss live entertainment market leader Good News Productions, Zurich.
