Peter Long – First Choice Holidays Plc (fcd.l)

PETER LONG is the Chief Executive of First Choice Holidays Plc, a leading European leisure travel company and Chairman of Air 2000. Prior to joining First Choice in October 1996, Peter Long was Chief Executive of Iberotravel, the UK based travel company which operated under three main brands: Sunworld, Neilson and Skybargains. Mr Long set up Sunworld in March 1991, and took the company to fifth place in the UK tour operator league table, carrying over 700,000 passengers in 1994. Sunworld was later sold to The Thomas Cook Group in June 1996. Previously, he has held the position of Chief Executive of ILG Travel. Originally Mr Long trained as an accountant, and joined the travel industry after working in finance in both the manufacturing and construction sectors. Mr Long's hobbies are sailing, windsurfing and skiing. His free time is very active, supporting his three sons in their own sporting endeavours, which range from mountain biking to cricket. Profile
