PETER BANNISTER is currently the President of Impact Energy Inc., a TSE-
listed junior oil and gas company. Mr. Bannister was a key player in the
formation of Impact and as President, he is integral in the
establishment of Impact Energy's overall corporate objectives and
strategies. In conjunction with the senior management team, he has
responsibility for executing these strategies, as well as managing the
daily operations of the company. Mr. Bannister graduated from the
University of Calgary in 1981 with a Major in Geology and a Minor in
Economics. After graduation, Mr. Bannister was employed by Sproule
Associates as a Senior Geologist and, later, as a Partner, where he
participated in exploration and property evaluations through western
Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. He spent a number of
years managing private capital, developing and executing drilling and
acquisition opportunities for investors. Mr. Bannister was Vice
President Exploration and Development, and a Director, for both
Boomerang Resources Limited and Laurasia Resources Limited before
joining Startech Energy Inc. in January 1998 as Vice President Corporate
Development. Intent on creating and maximizing shareholder value, Mr.
Bannister worked with management teams in coordinating and executing new
strategic growth opportunities as well as facilitating the merger and/or
