PAULA G. ROSPUT was named President and Chief Executive Officer of AGL
Resources Inc., on August 9, 2000. She joined the company in September
1998 as President and Chief Operating Officer of Atlanta Gas Light
Company (AGLC), a natural gas distribution utility and the main
subsidiary of AGL Resources. Formerly, Ms. Rosput was President and
Chief Executive Officer of Houston-based Duke Energy Power Services, a
subsidiary of Duke Energy, the nation's largest energy services company.
She has also served as President of PanEnergy Power Services. Ms Rosput
is active locally in several community and civic organizations. Her
combination of regulated and non-regulated utility experience earned her
the distinction of being named one of the 10 Leading Innovators in
Energy for 1999 by Public Utilities Fortnightly, an industry trade
publication. Additionally, the Atlanta Women's Foundation, Inc.,
presented her with the Shattered Ceiling Award, an award that recognizes
women who are 'brilliant examples of corporate leadership.' Ms. Rosput
is a member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta and the Wellesley College
Business Leadership Council. She serves on the Georgia Conservancy's
Board of Trustees where she is a member of the Executive Committee. In
addition, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the following
organizations: Georgia Chamber of Commerce; Georgia Cities Foundation;
American Gas Association; Southern Gas Association; the Commerce Club;
and The Carter Center's Board of Councilors. Ms. Rosput earned her
Bachelor's degree (with highest honors) in Economics from Wellesley
