Paul R. Herchman is the founder of Medical Alliance, Inc. and currently
serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Herchman's
background includes working as a sales representative with Sun Medical,
Inc., a distributor of medical equipment; Chesebrough-Ponds USA Co. in
its hospital products division; and with Johnson & Johnson in its Ortho
Pharmaceutical Division. He received his Bachelor of Science degree
from Texas Tech University. Medical Alliance was formed in 1989 when
Mr. Herchman envisioned creating a new health care opportunity by
providing high technology equipment to physicians in their offices so
that physicians could perform minimally invasive in-office outpatient
surgical procedures at a lower cost than that of conventional inpatient
hospital treatments. Today, Medical Alliance provides a complete range
of services used to create temporary surgical sites in physician's
offices and is the nation's first and only national Office-Based
Surgical Services network. He keeps abreast of the development of new
technologies and their potential role in the transfer of procedures to
the physician's office. Mr. Herchman believes that a broader array of
procedures, including more complex surgeries, are currently being
performed in an outpatient setting than in the past and that the trend
for outpatient procedures to be shifted to the physician's office will
continue. Profile
