PAUL PLUSCHKELL is President and Chief Executive Officer of HyperFeed.
His proven dynamic leadership and management style, along with his
history of successfully implementing visionary strategies, helped him
define his first initiatives at HyperFeed. In the past 14 months, Mr.
Pluschkell leveraged HyperFeed's core ticker plant technologies in a
revolutionary new business model. His vision to transform HyperFeed from
the low margin consolidated market data vendor business to the more
profitable ticker plant technology licensing business reached fruition
in the fourth quarter of 2003, when HyperFeed sold its consolidated data
vendor customers to Interactive Data. Building up to that apex,
HyperFeed discontinued its development of trading applications, divested
its Internet subsidiary, PCQuote.com, and signed several long-term,
multi-million dollar contracts with CBOE Data for support of its new
technology licensing business model. By focusing HyperFeed's efforts on
its ticker plant technologies and divesting less profitable product
lines, Mr. Pluschkell broadened HyperFeed's potential customer base to
include ex-competitors. Prior to HyperFeed, Mr. Pluschkell most recently
served as president of Global Crossing's NextGen, where he successfully
devised and executed the company's business strategy of creating utility
services with strategic service providers. Previous to that Paul was the
EVP of Sales and Products at Global Center where he helped increase the
company's revenues from $90 million to $205 million in one year prior to
selling to Exodus for $6.5 billion dollars. In the mid 1990's, Mr.
Pluschkell founded and acted as CEO of MXNet, which provided the
industry's first financial market extranet to access financial
information in an ASP model. At MXNet, Mr. Pluschkell negotiated deals
with and established key contacts at the financial market data
industry's biggest players - Reuters, Bridge, Bloomberg, Dow Jones, ADP,
S&P Comstock, NewsEdge and Autex. In 1998, Mr. Pluschkell was
instrumental in merging MXNet with IXnet, where he continued to serve on
the executive management team. IXnet was acquired by Global Crossing in
June of 2000. Mr. Pluschkell began his career at Reuters, where he spent
eight years in both senior sales and technical roles gaining a solid
understanding of the financial market data industry. Mr. Pluschkell
holds a technology degree from Eastern Illinois University and has taken
graduate courses in MIS from the University of Dallas. He is also a
frequent speaker at financial industry conferences including the WSTA,
Goldman Sachs events and Internet World. Profile
