PAUL BUTCHER brings unique insight and expertise to his position as
Chief Operating Officer of Mitel Networks Corporation. He has been with
Mitel Corporation for more than 15 years and has led the European
operations of both the company's systems and semiconductor divisions. In
his varied and successful career with Mitel, he has been responsible for
market development in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, direct and
indirect sales channel management and product development and strategic
marketing. In 1996, Mr. Butcher joined the company's systems business as
Managing Director of its European operations. In this capacity, he
helped grow group revenues by 50% over two years in Europe, the Middle
East and Asia. By 1999, he had assumed global responsibilities as Senior
Vice President for Mitel Communications Systems, one of Mitel's two
business units. In this role, he focused on developing and delivering
converged voice and data communications systems and applications for
enterprises. His career at Mitel also included several Europe-based
assignments in the company's semiconductor group, including roles as
Marketing Director and General Manager. During his tenure, he was
instrumental in a 10-fold increase of Mitel's semiconductor business,
from $40 million to $300 million dollars. He is recognized as an
industry leader and has spoken at numerous trade shows and conferences.
